Guest guest
So part of my IOWL journey has been babysteps and radical moderation. I stopped labeling my diet. I am not vegan, or raw, or vegetarian, or piscitarian. I eat whole, real food that feels good in my mouth and later! Thank you - true pleasure from eating not only for the 5 s it is in my mouth, but 20-30 min later has been my first babystep! My next babystep has been exercise in moderation, and instead of TV/DVDs/Netflix. Instead of 2 hr of intense cardio and weights, i started doing yoga in my living room, and I stopped judging- sometimes I do it while watching netflix, sometimes to yogic chanting, sometimes in silence. Sometimes I do the whole 1.5 hr practice, and sometimes only 5-10 min. So in July I had lost 10#...in August I only lost 2. But this is the first time in 10 yr that I maintained a 10# weight loss for more than a week. I am moving in the right direction-And trying to be kind inside and out to my self and others. Sometimes labels help us figure out our direction, but when they do not, let them go!
Guest guest
I like your idea of exercising in moderation. I think moderation would help me a lot. I'm so all or nothing.
