To everyone who's out of balance right now....

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

No one imagines that symphony is supposed to improve as it goes along, or that

the whole object of playing is to reach the finale. The point of music is

discovered in every moment of playing and listening to it. It is the same, I

feel, with the greater part of our lives, and if we are unduly absorbed in

improving them we may forget altogether to live them. -Alan Watts, philosopher,

writer, and speaker (1915-1973)

I'm also a bit off center at the moment--but somehow it doesn't feel like I'm

struggling. Mostly because I'm no longer afraid that if I overate--or even,

gasp, binged--yesterday, that it shows what will happen every day for the rest

of my life. Instead, I feel that there's an opportunity here to figure out

something that can be changed. There's some (OK, a lot of) dissonance in the the

symphony right now--but it has its own beauty. Not to mention that when it

spills into consonance, the resolution will feel that much better. Otherwise, we

might as well just listen to Muzak.......

thanks for the quote.

well, everyone. i binged all day today.. that's about five big binge days in

a row. i am not at my family's passover seder, which is kinda sad... i find

myself looking into weight loss products, as well as Overeaters Anonymous

(12-step) meetings.. i'm obviously screaming for love, attention, etc.

i've committed to not eating any more tonight.

i'm afraid for me life.

thanks,

Avie
