A couple thoughts: 1) Did anyone see the frontpage article (in both the NY and LA Times) about the revisions in the psychology diagnosis manuel?? Apparently, " binge-eating disorder " is being added as a behavioral disorder... meaning behavioral disorder treatment is best... I find it very interesting.. other changes to occur as well, worth reading if you are interested. 2) I wanted to comment on episode 006: Foods that will make your life easier! This episode is interesting and I appreciate how mentions that food only stays in your system for three days... this helps psychologically. In the episode, suggests that we " improve " our diets by 50% and then another 50%, etc. I believe I already have a pretty " healthy " diet, high in fruits and whole grains, etc. Of course, it could use some improvement. My concern though is that I only seem to want those processed, " technicolor tasties " (right before and) during a binge. It's interesting. The rest of the time, I prefer healthy foods. Just an observation. 3) I just want to share that I have been using the hunger diary and it really is helping me. It takes my focus off food and I really am starting to think in terms of hunger. I feel serenity as I fill it out... I know it's not meant to be used forever, so I am grateful for it now. I must admit, I am still compulsively counting calories at times. Thanks for reading.
