Guest guest
I posted a couple of days ago about my daughter andra's low white count.thanks again to Sue B. that answered a lot of my questions. had IVIG today and they ran her labs again..the white count still low, the neutrophils even lower than October's panel at 23 (absolute Neutrophils at ..5). Two of our favorite nurses ran interference for me and tracked down the hematologist/oncologist in the hospital and talked him into coming up on to the pediatric outpatient floor to look at 's blood work. He took one look at it and said it looked just fine and there was no reason to worry and that it was very common for IVIG patients to run low white counts. He didn't even want to see her in his office..when the nurse came in to relay this information to me, I was really confused.a little bit later, one of the nurses came back and said that the hemo doc would be interested in seeing results of a " anti-neutrophil antibody " test.now I am even more confused. Anyway, I will be on the phone tomorrow seeing what the immunologist thinks about the results of the blood work and the mystery test and if I should continue to pursue going to see the hematologist..I have a lot of questions that need to be answered. Just an update, Jeane Mom to andra 13, PID, FG syndrome
