Show the Power of Texans

Team participation is highly encouraged at the Power of Texans Walk,

Run, Rally & Concert on April 17, 2004. A team is 5 or more people

and can consist of family, friends and/or co-workers. Name your team

after a child, an organization or your company.

There are several benefits to forming a team:

• Separate registration

• Early team packet pick-up (includes t-shirts, schedule, map)

• Team Photos (available for a limited time on day of the

event)

• Special Awards (largest team, best team identifier or

attention getter, most money raised by a team)

• Increased Awareness

Starting up your own march team is as easy as it is fun. Your group

can be anyone you wish: family members, co-workers, friends,

teachers, church members…the list is long. Once you have your team

members committed to participate, give them each a sponsorship

envelope and have them collect as many sponsors as they can (keep in

mind there are great prizes for those that collect the most).

Get creative and make signs, banners, hats, shirts – anything to

identify your team (for example, Henry's team will be wearing shirts

with his photo on the front and " Henry's Team " on the back). This is

another great prize winning opportunity and a chance to make the

maximum visual impact on the media present that day.

This will be a fun and positive event and a great opportunity to

bring together the many Texans (and those in surrounding states)

that are affected by autism spectrum disorders. All proceeds benefit

the DFW Center for Autism and its community outreach program, the

Autism Support Project. Proceeds will be used to fund workshops,

conferences, grants, special events and support groups.
