Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I rested for the last couple of days because my body was feeling rather tired. For the month of March, I was increasing the duration, intensity, and frequency of my workouts by quite a bit... probably faster than what would be recommended. So, I know that now it's time to ease back on my workouts and give my body a chance to rest, repair, and get stronger before I push again. I did a workout this morning, because I don't like to take more than two days of rest in a row. On the third day, even if I still feel tired (like I did this morning a bit), I will at least try. And I had a great workout. I have observed that I can't judge what kind of workout I will have by how I feel in the morning. Sometimes, there are mornings (like today), when I feel tired and lethargic, yet I have a great workout. And there are other days when I feel great and full of energy, and can barely complete my run. It's just a theory, but I think that when I am feeling tired, I run more efficiently because I know that I have to conserve energy, and on the days that I feel energetic, I run inefficiently because I have all this extra energy. Just a thought. I did a 20 minute HIIT session at the same speed as last time. Even though it felt easy, I didn't up the speed because I know that I can't keep pushing my body to its max. Not every workout has to be at maximal effort! After the HIIT, I biked easy for 20 minutes. Just enough to keep my heart up and sweat a bit... and get stinky too, haha! :-) With love, Yuna
