Today I took a nice hour long walk uphill to Mount Tabor and climbed up and down the 283 steps (give or take a few). It's a beautiful day in Portland, and it was therapeutic to be around all the spring flowers and saying hello to some fat, fuzzy bumble bees.

Later, I got a pretty challenging lower body workout in with Sansone of all people!  I did her 30 minutes 2 mile High Calorie Burn workout BUT I did the entire thing jogging and jumping on the rebounder!   For the walking portions I jogged, for the kicks I did jump kicks, for the I did double jumps from side to side, for the kickbacks I did jumping jack legs and for the knee lifts I did wide leg runs.  I worked up a nice sweat!   I liked using 's workout for the rebounder better than the actual rebounder workouts I have that I have tried.  Of course with my injury I didn't use my arms or do any of the walk away weights stuff.   If you don't have a treadmill or eliptical at home the rebounder/mini trampoline is an excellent substitute!  You can still run while taking out most of the impact.  Plus it's fun to jump up and down!

I've called a lot of instructors and no one can sub for me tomorrow, so I get to teach class in a sling and only use my right arm and do stationary kicks.  This should be interesting.  I'm going to pick a routine that many have done before, Best of Turbo Kick Volume 2, so hopefully they will be able to follow along.  I'll use an advanced exerciser in the front row to be my model.  I did get a sub for next week, so that's good.

Cheers!
