Gov. Pawlenty just gave the following numbers. There are more than 13,000 bridges at the state and local level in Minnesota. Of those, around 1,000 fall into the same rating category as the one that collapsed.

In other words, they know about this problem but what are they doing about it? I heard him mention a firm doing a "stem to stern" analysis of the bridges. Unless I missed it, there wasn't anything about a major overhaul program.
