Guest guest Posted April 6, 2010 Report Share Posted April 6, 2010 Tuesday, April 6, 2010 dance/intervals/abs last night i did the dance segments from ea active then did shape magazines' cardio dance party segment. its only 10 minutes, one of the easier to follow segments led my michelle dozois. they are okay workouts but the menu is confusing. the ones they releases after this are much better organized menu wise. this morning i missed something hardcore and good music so i did cathe's imax2 1-5 premix. man i am loosing it somewhere. i used to be able to push through this whole hour and by interval 3 i thought i was going to throw up(not a totally bad thing just i was working SO hard). but i managed to maintain myself through the whole 5 intervals. i have all 3 imaxes and have to say fun factor wise this one is the best. its easier to follow the step segments set to good music and there is lots of jumping BUT you do get a break. imax1 has a little more jumping but not as dancey in choreography while imax3 i can barely do the interval,just the step sections. this will always be a fav of mine for stepping though, the premixes allow me to custom the workout to do intervals or just stepping or just blasts. i love the music(i do have a thing for 90s eurodance shock coming from the hard/punk rock chick right LOL).now to the virgin workout of the day! exercise tv's abs dvd. i bought this at dollar tree(30 minute version) BUT i also picked up a 70 min version called incredible abs and guess what they are basically the same dvd except incredible abs has MORE workouts. so this widdles down the collection some and knocks out the virgin pile. i only did the 20 min workout. my heart and mind was set on the WHOLE 30 min but after doing cindy witmarsh's mostly standing abs i was spent. this is a tough little workout. mostly standing she also does a ton of planks and variations and crunch variations with NO rest. i think the lack of rest make it hard. she offers modifications for those not ready to do the whole version. amy dixon leads the 10 minute workout on this dvd but i know amy dixon is tough and i didn't think i could do it after 20 minute with cindy. that is NOT giving up that is just knowing the limits LOL. i rarely do 20 min ab workouts so it was a big deal that i even did that. i SO need a shower after that imax workout though!
