Guest guest
3 weeks? OMG. I hope it doesnt take that long! You're right, though, it takes our kiddos so much longer than typical kids to get over anything. He's taken a little yogurt, a little pudding, and a few bites of chicken noodle soup today. Certainly not enough, but at least he isn't dehydrated. Been pushing juice and water....it just hurts him so much to swallow. I worry about dehydration, bc it seems to hit him hard when it happens. I havent seen him pee in a while, so..... what I hate is that I literally CANT miss school....my phlebotomy teacher is already threatening to fail me bc I have to miss next wednesday for IVIG...well, what can I do about that? seriously. But I really hate leaving the boys home sick. My husband is here, but he's not the one who does all this stuff....meds dont get done on time, or he doesnt remember what time this or that happened, YKWIM? I want to be here bc I know what Im doing, this has been my job for ten years. I am hoping his infusion helps him get over it. Unless they refuse to let me bring him...if he's still contagious next week...wow, that would really suck. thanks for sharing your story.
