Guest guest
I find it interesting in a group like this how often people think they have nothing to offer. Sometimes because they're not struggling. Sometimes because they're struggling too much. Sometimes just because that feeling of worthlessness, of " I have nothing to offer " is part of the whole package of eating disorders. In my opinion (and I'm always afraid I share it too much), EVERYONE at EVERY stage of the journey has something to offer. By sharing your struggles, you might be helping someone who feels like they're the only one who ever sprayed the leftovers with windex to be sure you wouldn't eat out of the trash.... By sharing your successes, you give us hope. Even if the success is small--it's a reminder to look at the progress we're making. Glad to have you posting more, Viv. ________________________________ From: Vivienne <ruffed.lemur@...> weightloss Sent: Wed, March 9, 2011 3:01:07 PM Subject: Re: Feeling defeated Don't feel defeated - it's just an opportunity to learn! I had nine months of finding it easy and I felt naturally slender. Most of that time I read posts, but didn't post myself because I had nothing to offer - I found it easy, so how could I help someone else who was struggling? Guest guest
Thanks . It's hard to share " real feelings " when someone-like me- Is so used to their feelings not counting. Peace Kat. :-) On Mar 9, 2011, at 11:49 AM, <lsageev@...> wrote: > I find it interesting in a group like this how often people think they have > nothing to offer. Guest guest
I have been a stalker lately of these posts just due to time constraints and job overload, but I honestly think this is the best, most motivating post I've seen in awhile!! Thank you. Sent from my BlackBerry device from Cincinnati Bell Wireless Re: Feeling defeated Don't feel defeated - it's just an opportunity to learn! Guest guest
When I think of offering a thought, a feeling, or a success I think of a vulnerable pouring out of our insides. I know it is hard for me but I need to be aware that it is just as equally hard for everyone else here. Thank you to everyone who is on this journey with me you are all helping me so much. Positive thoughts and hugs from Constance     > I find it interesting in a group like this how often people think they have > nothing to offer. Sometimes because they're not struggling.
