Guest guest
We just moved to Keller (will be there on the first). They have an autism unit within the ISD with classrooms that only have autistic kids. The classes are specific to the level of autism in the kiddo (high functioning, mild etc.). They have a woman who runs and evaluates only Austin kiddos. The teachers have a high understand of autism and are all required to complete continuing edj. courses every year. After searching every school district in the DFW area the ones that look the best (to me) are Keller, Plaino, South lake and one other that is escaping my memory right now. Please feel free to call me at 480-600-7266. I spent 3 month researching and I would be happy to share my finding with you. I will not have access to the computer until after 6/15, as I am in a hotel with my family today until the actual move on the first. Theresa Cutler May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Re// Moving to Dallas, TX---need someadvice on the school district Just a small word for consideraton. If you are going to be working in Plano and would consider driving 30 minutes or so to work, you might consider Lavon, Wylie, Rockwall area. You can get a lot more house (and land) for the money, and we are very pleased with our school! We moved here from Plano. We have 1 acre and 4 bedroom house we had built custom. Same house in Plano would have cost us twice as much. And I go to Plano all the time via 544. It's not that far at all. And they still have plenty of lots available to build as well as some finished houses for sale in our area, as well as others. And a Super Walmart that hasn't opened yet about 7 miles down the road. Rockwall is about 10 minutes from us and Wylie is about 8 minutes from us. Plano and Dallas are about 30 min. And I can get to Grapevine Mills (in Fort Worth) in just under an hour. Love to go there! www.goffhomes.com is the builder for our community. But there are others nearby. hope this helps and welcome. lwinn
Guest guest
Rockwall's schools didn't work with my cousin or her son. She ended up sending him to a private school. Diagnosis was ADHD.
