Guest guest
I was watching Dr. Oz, and he mentioned making a face mask from grapes and white flour. I decided to experiment today with that with a Kombucha twist. I had a batch of Nettle KT that I never did bottle. It's probably about 3 weeks old. Tasted it, and it was still a bit sweet, which was odd. It had some pretty big baby scobies in there too. I had disturbed it a few times with tasting. Anyway, I decided that because I wasn't going to drink this I'd experiment with it. I took a very thin baby, along with some of the KT and ground it up with some flour to make a paste, and used it on my face. I think I left it on there for about 10 minutes, and then washed it off. My skin is a bit pink, so I know it did some work on the dead skin on my face. What I did notice was that it was more gentle on my face than when I tried just ground up scoby. Plus it was a lot easier to apply than just a ground up scoby. It made more than I needed for this application, so I put a lid on it and put it in the fridge. Is that the best choice? Do you think it will last for a week in the fridge? It seems most recommend doing a mask once a week. Could I do it every three days or so? I'm trying to whiten some discoloration on my cheeks at the same time as exfoliating. Warmly, Velma
