It's taken that long for this secty/treas. to begin to fill Cloyd Hyten's shoes! However, we've added a few new wrinkles, such as online registration and payments during that time. Now it's time to gather and distribute information about TxABA and Behavior Analysis. Your contributions are needed! Send us news, names and email addresses for people and organizations, and help spread the word about our Conference and Workshops. We hope to publish a Newsletter quarterly. Please send your contributions to txaba@... -- Burkett, secty/treas. TxABA Membership For 2004, TxABA has 45 Voting members (Full, Supporting, or Sustaining), 60 Affliliate members, and 52 Student members, for a total of 157 members. Workshop attendance was 206, of which 144 were preregistered. (Compared with 325 in 2002 and 312 in 2003.) Voting membership is down a bit this year: Look over the membership <http://www.unt.edu/behv/txaba/2004MemberList.htm> list and help us identify past-members who may have forgotten to renew their membership. Should we have a membership directory similar to ABA's? Will someone volunteer to be Membership Chair and help us promote TxABA membership? TxABA Election: Call for Nominations On November 15th the TxABA secretary/treasurer will mail to all full, voting members a call for nominations for 2005 President and one Council Member. The President will serve a two-year term and the Council Member will serve a three-year term. From these nominations, the secretary/treasurer will compile a list of the names of voting members who have received the highest number of nominations for each office. The President will ask those nominees if they are willing to stand for election, and will proceed through the list in the order of vote count until at least two candidates for each office have been obtained. On Feb. 1, the Secretary-Treasurer will email a ballot to all voting members whose membership dues are paid.
