Guest guest
The election is killing me!!!!!! I''m not sleeping very well and my fibro has gotten so bad that my skin is rashed out and I can't wear my sleep apnea mask which just aggravates my issues. Also, been having some interesting " symptoms " . I've taken two pregnancy tests which have come back negative. (I need to wait two more years til Terry is out of school) But I still would like my period to show up so I can know for sure. I just switched off birth control to see how it affects my migraines. I'm pretty sure I would rather have migraines. But I have managed to alternate cardio and CLX all week. My cardio had been very low-key. I never have as much energy for cardio when I stick to a strength program. And if I push myself too much through the cardio I don't have energy for strength. Chicken and the egg. Tried Life Force with Anni Mairs Mid-Life cardio yesterday for 30 minutes. I REALLY LIKED IT! They showed three truly different levels and the instructor was really encouraging. Anni does the moderate level, a lady stage left does the advanced, including doing some moves on the step and the stage right exerciser is a man who does the beginner versions of everything. The man cracks me up with his strange, strange facial expressions. You hold light 1lb weights (I used 2) throughout the majority of the workout and it alternates strength and cardio moves, but the strength doesn't really pretend to replace a real strength workout and keeps your heart rate up. She targets muscle groups that are often neglected and somewhat troublesome as you start to age (hello rotator cuff!) As far as CLX, I've decided to lower my weight on a few moves to focus on form and technique. I had to be honest with myself, I may be able to lift heavy, but am I really doing it right? a
