Guest guest
As I read messages I see a theme that frequently comes up -- school problems. Parents are trying to find out more about special education and those already in programs are not having success, behavior is not properly addressed, and sometimes extreme measures are taken against our kids. Periodically, I try to let everyone know that our organization, Partners Resource Network, has three Parent Training & Information Grants (PTIs) PATH, PEN, and TEAM operating across the entire state. The staff can offer you training and information help you become more effective in dealing with some of the school problems you face. I encourage you to take some time and participate in training and get this school year off to a good start. While these forums are great, it becomes impossible to get to the bottom of the complex issues and give an adequate response. Most of our programs are free or a very minimum cost for supplies. The biggest news I want to relate is that we have staff in Houston and the office of TEAM Project is now relocated there as well. A web page is attached with this and more updated news from Partners Resource Network. If do not receive html within your email or if you prefer not to open attachments please go directly to http://partnerstx.org/ENEWS/PRN_NEWS_7_04.htm and view the information and take a look around the entire site.
