Guest guest
hey guys, She sounds great and we talked my phone dead...LOL...once again... She said that today is the first day she can't say that she now feels maybe she didn't make a mistake. Lots of back pain because of standing stooped and her spinal disease. She Commented on the large incisions she has both horrizontally and vertically. She told me that I should be prepared as it wasn't as easy as she thought, she said that maybe when she gets the drains pulled things will heal faster than the DS, but right now she is frustrated with the amount of pain. I guess we all hope to be the lucky ones that have little pain. She said the drive home was 6 1/2 hrs and the first 4 or so were OK but the last part was hard. She also said that Dr. K told her that they removed 12 or so pounds from her. She got on the scale as we spoke and lost 5 of them....sounded excited....she said no wonder you lose afterwards...You can't eat...LOL. Still has drains and will until next week. Anyway that's it in a nutshell. I meant to tell her was home and forgot.....But she said she saw her in the hosp. Said it would be a while before she got online as the body just wouldn't handle it right now. in Bama VBG 1982 (lost from 433lbs to 270's) VBG -RNY1996 revision(Lost from 343 to 299) RNY-DS revision Dec 2002 -down 122 lbs (377.7 to 255.6 and still going) Homepage address- http://hometown.aol.com/mdl1031/myhomepage/profile.html Many thanks to Dr. K willing to take on a 3rd timer....LOL

It is like the DS as in it is so different for each of us. I am so sorry that Ann has had a hard time. It was much harder than the DS for me too, so I know how she feels.... It would have been nice if she could have breezed thru it like Jo and Marta, but noooo, she had to go and be like me...lol Just remind her that this too shall pass, and eventually she will quit wondering what she did to herself and rejoice in the flat tummy. I still do everday,,, it is unbelievable to me....I love it. Sharon in Onyx who feels her pain...or felt her pain...well something like that anyways... I cant believe you are already looking at the prospect of more surgery! I am just now thinking of possibly letting Dr K fix my one leg thats messed up from the surgery, and mine was last May! lol I am not (at this point) going to do anything else...or at least it is still how I am feeling now. You are brave my dear. I am so glad you are feeling better. You will love your new tummy soon, I promise. But the swelling can last 6 mos or more. Mine still swells at the end of the day... smiles Sharon in Onyx
