Subject: Been Putting This Off

weightloss

Date: Monday, August 16, 2010, 6:58 PM

I have been listening to the podcasts since January and have thought many times

about joining the group. You know how says you have to put in to get

out. So, here I finally (!) am. I lost 55 pounds on Weight Watchers in 2003 and

have kept most of it off. I gained 15 back when my husband and I retired, and

that has stuck on me since 2006. I love the IOWL approach and know it is right

for me. I would love to remove 25 pounds, but I know that something is out of

alignment since I haven't done that yet. Also, I know I have not made a full

commitment to IOWL. So, joining here today is part of my journey and total

commitment.

Hi Laurie and welcome to the group.

I'm new here myself but TOTALLY committed - well, as totally as I can be ;-))

You say you've been listening since January - I'm not sure that would include

the first podcasts or not. If not, please go back to the beginning and listen

to the first 17, well 18 really including the Prologue. These are the sessions

included in the Workbook that provide us with a better foundation on which to

build our " new house " (read body). I can't believe what I learned about myself

in just the first 5 or 6 podcasts - things that now help me stay on track

because I know where some of the thoughts and feelings come from. It's the old

" Know thyself " routine.

Best wishes for your journey,
