Hi everyone!

I just joined the group. My 7-year-old son has OCD

and anxiety issues. He is currently on medication for

possible Bi-polar disorder (Abilify) and it has helped

some with the OCD symptoms. His biggest issues are

with his clothing, re-tying shoes, finding correct

fitting socks, sometimes pulling his laces so tightly

that his feet get sores and bleed. When he was three

and four years old he would say that he felt " crooked "

in clothing. What I find so funny is that it's like a

love/hate relationship with his clothing. He loves

clothes but changes outfits at least three times a day

because he doesn't " feel right " in them.

He also goes in and out with having germ issues. Is

this normal to have a cycle of behaviors or symptoms

that seem to wax and wane? We just recently started

him on Zoloft in addition to the Abilify but we've

noticed his behavior worsen as of late. He is very

defiant and his behavior is absolutely awful. We have

a meeting with the psychiatrist soon and really aren't

sure what to do or where to turn next.

Well I am anxious to meet and share experiences with

everyone!
