Hi Everyone,

I am still insanely sore from doing 10 Min Kettlebell. My SI joint is also still very cranky. I think the Kbell routine may be partially responsible, b/c I think my squats were too deep - now that I looked at some photos/read some info on the correct form for swings. I liked the 10 Min workout, and liked that it used a dbell in palce of a kbell, but I think one should research the basic moves first before attempting it (the instructor does not breakdown proper form on this one). Now that I know a little more I would like to do this one again - I also think I will not do it in its entirety right off the bat either. I think I'll do a segment or two at a time. Mostly b/c it is just a different way of exercising that the body needs to adapt to and I'm also not 20 anymore!

Anyway, today was cardio, but I felt like something lighter. I decided to try Petra's 10 Min Solution Dance off Belly Fat DVD. 5 10 min dance based segments. I did like this one overall - I didn't do super well with it - except for one section that was more of a "toning" routine - so slower paced - sort of had an Ellen Barrett/Classical Stretch feel to it. However, the rest of the sections are defiantely doable and with practice I can actually learn the steps and I think get a decent low impact workout from them! So, my plan is to try to master each one by doing a segment daily until I master it. Petra cues fairly well, but there is not a lot of break down - which makes sense for a 10 min workout. The moves, though, are ones that I feel I can catch on to with practice. So, now my "mission" for my 10 min journey is to master each segment of this workout and be able to string it all together for a

good low impact cardio routine! I will likely add it on daily as a quick warm up. I do think this one will be fun once I master it. I would say the choreography level is similar to the FIRM's cardio dance fusion, which I really enjoy and do "get'! :) I didn't mind that the intensity was not too high today since I am still quite sore.

I stretched a bit on my own befroe and after. I also did 20 sets of push-ups and 20 sets of pull-downs in between each dance segment. I tried some squats but they seemed to aggravate my SI joint.

Tomorrow is "scheduled" to be a strength day, but I will see how my SI is feeling, if not too good it may be another treadmill/Pilates day.

Take care!Donna

I would also like to get an episode of CS done this afternoon, I htink it would go a long way towards fixing up my back.
