Just got done working out in the gym at the basement of our building! In just 2 minutes from my cube I was in the Sweat Shop locker room. I ran on the treadmill for 15 minutes, alternating between running and speed walking. It felt good to sweat and get my heart rate up! After we warmed up we did some leg work and did one musical phrase of each:squats (I used 15 lb dumbells)deadlifts (12's)plie squats (12's)lunges (body weight)8 singlesdown 2 up 2down 3 up 1down 1 up 38 singles againNext we each sat on a stabilty ball and did torso twist punches - one person punches while the other person holds out their hands as targets. After that we did a one minute plank. We ended with some seated stretches, which left us 15 minutes to shower and get back to work. They only have a radio there and it was challenging finding descent music with a

beat. I did notice they have medicine balls so I'm gong to review my med ball dvd and do partner drills with Steve next week - yay! I've been jonesing to do these!! The showers at the Sweat Shop are very nice, better than what most homes have. Taking a hot shower in the middle of a work day is worth the $24 annual fee in and of itself! There was hardly anyone there and it was fun to get away from it all!

What fun! You know, I've been doing solo workouts for so long, and now I am doing some group things. It's so much fun. I'm probably never going to give up the solo thing, but I'm becoming less inhibited about working out with others.

One of my coworkers leads boxing classes at lunch at work. Hmmmmm.......On Thu, Feb 18, 2010 at 1:38 PM, Pink Pussycat <pinkpussycat@...> wrote:
