Guest guest
I did this once already in the rotation and described it then, so I'll just say how it went this time. Better. Much. Last time, I was having a rough day and wondered if that affected my reaction to the workout and I'm sure it did. I still couldn't follow the choreography in the warmup but, since there is virtually no choreography in the rest of the workout, that was a very positive thing. Heidi Tanner bugged me a lot last time but didn't this time. I went heavier on the heavy weights, using 10s for about half the workout but had to drop to 8s later on. This is primarily a strength workout but the cardio comes in because you switch quickly between lower and upper body exercises, pushing the blood fast between the upper and lower parts of the body, raising the heart rate. I was struggling especially with intense lower body like leg presses followed quickly by intense upper body like military presses and 10s were just too much. My heart rate was high but not too far out of range but my form was failing and I decided it was better to go lower. 8s almost seemed too light but I don't have 9s so I went with the 8s. I used 3s for the 4 limb since 4s were too much for the pace. 3s were still not great with how fast she goes but they were okay. I'm not sure going any lower would change anything. I felt like I was dragging some in the workout and have noticed this a lot lately. I'm not sure if it is not enough sleep (I'm still messed up from spring break) or possibly getting bored with the rotation. The workouts are great and it is fun doing a different one every day but being that they're all similar style just with different emphases, and they do start to blend together. I'll have to stay on top of this and figure it out, then possibly make some changes. Tomorrow is Ultimate Calorie Blaster and I'm looking forward to using the TransFIRMer, though I struggled with the choreography in this cardio workout the last time I tried it (the only other time I've done it). Hopefully, it will go better too. I also just realized that is the last workout in month 1 of the rotation! Cool!
