Hi Everyone,

My legs are still sore from the running earlier this week, so I hopped on my

stationary bike and biked for 40 minutes. When I was done, I did 15 push-ups.

I had intended to do a " reverse ladder " (which is 10, followed by 9, then 8, all

the way down to 1). I did the first 10, but then when I started the second set,

my arms gave out after 5. ;-) Well, it's something to work towards.

Thanks,

Yuna

I had just got back to exercising at a level that was intense... Got back to a

level in tennis where I was feeling good and running on a track twice a week and

I fell down the stairs and twisted my ankle. :-(

So a week of doing little exercise cause my whole body ached after the fall.

Trying to eat like a naturally slender person who doesn't exercise but I have

definitely overeaten this week. Soooo discouraging.

On Thursday I had some things to do that I wanted to avoid and ended up eating a

chocolate bar and two cookies. But self corrected later in the day and did a

redo in my head. I'm refusing to stay down for very long!!

I have helped out my elderly MIL and been encouraging this week, visited a sick

friend and made her laugh, cooked super healthy meals, exercised, helped out my

SIL and have dressed nicely all week. :-)

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!!!!!

Thanks for the encouragement!!!! It is frustrating to finally reach a point

where I wanted to be and to now have to patiently wait! Thanks too for the

suggestions on strengthening my ankle. I've already tried them and will

continue. Today has been great foodwise and I plan to do some upper body

exercise later. Hope u are having a great day too.

ankles, luckily not at the same time. My right ankle was sprained by falling

down the stairs too. That's why I never wear wide-leg pants anymore!

brace? It might help for the first few weeks, but if you do wear one, just don't

wear it for too long or your tendons will get dependent. Do some ankle rotations

and flexes, if the pain isn't too bad. And also do some calf exercises when

you're able to. Strengthening the calf muscle will help with ankle strength

because the muscle runs down to the ankle.

Anytime! That's what we're all here for - to help and support each other. I

know that you're itching to get back to your activities, but please, please

don't rush it. Joint injuries like ankles and knees take a while to heal.

I'm having a great day too! Going to post about this morning's workout. :-)

Patience is hard, but when it comes to healing injuries, it is necessary. Good

advice, Yuna:)
