Guest guest
Jane mentioned that her friend was starting an kenesthetics program and how much it has helped her (plus 's voice wafting through her mind as she strolls down the beach. Lovely thought!) And it brings to mind one of the great moments for me that helped me give up my emotional eating. As I mentioned in my 'prologue intro to who I am', my father was a predator on so many levels and I used food to cope and hide from him and the pain. I later went through years and years of therapy which helped me finally create an internal structure. Plus I went to school to become a hypnotherapist, then to school to get my Life Coaching certification, and also got trained as a First Level Reiki practitioner. Each area of learning reflected something that had helped me release the pain and residual fear from my past. But up until about eighteen months ago, I was still struggling with emotional eating to some degree. Then I went to see a Reiki practioner. He was at a resort spa where we were staying, which is pretty unusual. I just wanted to see how he was doing the Reiki but to my surprise and HIS surprise, this was that moment in time where everything came together, and I could feel emotional panels of energy lift like armor off of a knight as he started. I then just felt all the toxic energy just releasing. I had never had such an experience and I just released myself into it. (Midway through the session, he started to run water, later he told me that the toxins were just flowing and he had to find a way 'to get rid of them'. Believe it or not, that was the day that I can pinpoint the residuals from the sexual/mental/emotional abuse left me. The reason I am mentioning this, is because a lot of people may have never heard of Reiki. It is a general energy therapy...not a weight loss 'fix'. And...I was surprised to see Dr. OZ mentioned it this week in his 'Doctor's orders'. (I didn't get to see the whole program so can't tell you more of what he said.) Just thought I would share, because 'althernative therapies' like Reiki, hypnotherapy, Kinnesthetics, etc can really be helpful in strengthening our inner alighnments.
