Yes, we were offered this for our next scopes (colonoscopy and gastroscopy) on the NHS. In fact, they told us it is the only way to get a complete picture of the small intestine and stomach.  They did say, however, that for a small child, they would still use a GA to place the pill cam in the esophagus as they don't allow children to swallow them.

I don't know if it will be at Chelsea and Westminster or at that hospital in Harrow (St Mark's I think) that specialises in my son's GI condition (polyposis).
