Guest guest Posted April 30, 2004 Report Share Posted April 30, 2004 Autism Support Project presents a workshop: An Activity By Any Other Name….Understanding Self-Stimulatory Behavior and Strategies for Altering the Behavior Presented by Sawyer, M.S., BCBA, ndale, M.S., BCBA and Haycraft, B.B.A. May 8, 2004: 9 am – 2 pm In this workshop you will learn: •how to identify self stimulatory behavior by its function •identifying the reinforcing properties of a self-stimulatory behavior •how to identify appropriate replacement behaviors •understand when self-stimulatory behaviors occur •replacing self-stimulatory behavior with desired behavior This workshop is applicable to all ages and both verbal and nonverbal children. Registration is $25 for educators, students, therapists and all registrations received by May 6, 2004. Walk in registration is available for $50.00.
