Guest guest
I personally have not had any dealings with him but I have several friends who use him and are happy. The choice for this type of Dr. in our area is fairly limited and my understanding is that this person has a very good bedside manner when it comes to dealing with parents. I hope this helps. > Does anyone know anything about a Dr. Mike Rios in ville. A friend of mine was referred to him, but I do not know anything about him. Any input would be appreciated. Guest guest
> Hello, My daughter was evaluated by Dr.Rios and I found him extremely polite and personable! We were able to have her evaluated within 2 weeks instead of 6-8month wait for the one at children's hosp. He talked on the phone with me for over an hour before having her evaluated! The evaluation took 3 hours for our daughter. Even though she can read >200 words, count>150, knows shapes, animals, and colors, labels everything...he really zoned in on her deficits like: expressing herself, pointing, looking at us(parents) for referencing, engaging her in play, showing us items she liked ect... she did great with no screaming:) The diagnoses was autism. He is a big beliver in ABA and is trying to have ABA therapist & speech therapist work out of the office with him..sorta of like a autism center. The only drawback was he does not accept insurance and the eval. is $500.00. With time so crucial in treatment we did not want to wait 6-8 months to find out. It was worth it to me. Guest guest
I can vouch for Dr. Rios. We saw him for quite some time and were very pleased with him. It is hard because he does not accept insurance but well worth having him working with your child. The only reason that we left was because of a diagnosis of Bipolar which has recently been added to with an Asperger's diagnosis. I continue to recommend him to families and also hope to work closely with him in the future on other issues that relate to services for our children. Feel free to call me if you have any questions about Mike and the awesome treatments he provides to the kiddos. He is as honest and concerned as they come.
