Guest guest
50 kinders and your son is the only one running and being disruptive???? Somehow that is not believable! (smile) Seriously - that is something that if they are foolish enough to take to ARD - then simply disagree and ask them to put in writing that they are refusing your son to be in the least restrictive environment simply because they can't catch him? Guest guest
I just wanted to add some input. Does your school district have a behavior specialist that could work with your son & one of the PE assistants? My son used to be a runner. That was one of the 1st things we worked on in therapy. It took a while, but with a lot of positive reinforcement, he has quit running off. We paid for ours privately, but our school district has one on staff for all behavioral issues. Just a thought. Good luck, Lori > That's a violation of FAPE and if she can get that in writing, can file a > complaint with the Office of Civil Rights. > > > aide in the classroom > > > It is for a child with Down's Syndrome to be able to stay in the regular 1st > grade classroom with her peers.
