Well, like with all OCD, scrupulosity can differ in people but

generally means it is worrying about sin. With my son, at one time

he was being a bit too literal about the Bible, trying so hard not

to sin, to follow it exactly or he'd go to hell; he also was

mentally making all these impulsive/compulsive promises to God (this

resulted in his not eating - promise not to eat ham, not to eat

anything with " X " in it, not to drink water, no sugar, no milk, no

dairy, no yeast or something...list went on) and worrying because

you are not supposed to make promises to God and then breaking a

promise(??!!)....was worrying if he had a mean thought about someone

(sin).... Right now he constantly has blasphemous thoughts so is

constantly asking for forgiveness, sure he will never make it to

heaven.... Plus just the usual " sin " worries apparently.
