Guest guest
I used the recipe like it said. I used 5 tea bags, seemed strong, which generally it looks strong when using Earl Grey. I used more green than the Earl Grey, I heard the green makes a nice fizzy drink. I never thought I'd like it fizzy but mine is just the right amount of carbonation for me. It reminds me of cracking open a Barq's Rootbeer. It has that bite to it. I put in actually 10 cups of water with this brew so I hope it was sweet enough. Tea wise I know I'm safe there. If your sweet tea is not sweet enough tea and you suspect this how can you save your brew? Maybe make a tea syrup concoction. Some tea, strong, then thick sugar like buy Karo Food Syrup. How would that work as a sugar for the SCOBYs! Wouldn't they dig on that for a while. Fatten the little pancakes up. But really, cook some sugar down to syrup and cool then mix with tea and add starter, pour in from top. Even if I'm wrong what could the damage be? Anyone wiser out there who might see things different speak up or forever hold your tongue. I love the night. I LOVE coffee. Maybe I should start this experiment at my time-1:35AM I'll let you all know how it goes. I'll start a SCOBY growing off to the side, just in case it doesn't quite work out.
