My daughter has a port. She has had a couple of them. Best thing we have done. She was a terrible stick. She was afraid of getting a port, but she finally got so tired of having issues starting her IVIG. The port has been great. She has never had an infection in it, and it took so much pressure off of all of us. She is 17 yrs old now. She still receives her IVIG every two weeks. She has been doing really well. Good luck with your decision. Guest guest
, My daughter is on her third port, she is almost 21 and loves having a port, she get IVIG every two weeks as well, She had her first port at the age of 3 as she was such a hard poke so I guess every 7 years is not all that bad, Well the second one lasted longer then the first one as she grew out of the first one, she has had the one she has now for almost one year. We tried doing it at home giving herself shots but she reacted so bad that we are sticking with what works for us Lorri (rachel CVID 20 YEARS OLD) From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Mrs. Byrd Sent: Monday, July 19, 2010 5:56 PM Subject: Re: Re:Ports? why has she had a couple???
