I currently weigh around the 110 mark and am 5'5. I really want an awesome stomach. That was probably my biggest goal, along with really defined legs. My problem however, is my midsection. I don't weigh that much but whatever weight I put on goes there. I agree with the person who talked about refining your goals. I also didn't see where you mention your bodyfat percentage, but I hope you've had it done. Perhaps comparisons of bodyfat percentages would give you a boost of confidence. From what I've read, it appears you're a vegan, correct me if I'm wrong. Given what I've seen of what you do eat, and what you're trying to accomplish, I'm wondering if you've got some visual perception issues. Having a "really flat stomach" is an extremely subjective goal, one that is hard to quantify. Just looking is not good enough. I have an extremely flat stomach, no joke, but my bodyfat percentage is still just above 30% (down from 35, but still above 30). Also, considering your intake of food, I wonder that you're truly eating enough - and what is a free day for you? Since you're vegan, what is pigging out? I'm not trying to be sarcastic or cruel, here. I'm truly interested. For us meat-eaters, pigging out has a much larger menu. Hope you know what I'm getting at...but if you don't, let's keep talking. Guest guest
, You can't quit now!!! You've got two weeks left and if you quit you'll NEVER know what those two weeks might have brought. Everyone is right - this is a lifestyle change that you've made and it would be great if you could focus on what the future will bring....whether it does in 2 more weeks or not. I know everyone gets hyped up about the magical 12 weeks - me included - but when you've finished a couple of challenges, it is easier to see the big picture that 12 weeks is just a drop in the bucket compared to the rest of your life. And....you've still got 2 more months until summer when you'll be showing off those abs! Sara

I know you weren't trying to be cruel or anything and I really learn a lot from you all so I can take whatever you say. Thanks for making that clear! So, you're not vegan, and that gives a whole new range. You seem to be eating the same ole, same ole quite a bit. Maybe that helps you stick with things, maybe its a convenience, but I'd suggest you mix it up a little more, not so much oatmeal, maybe potato instead. But some meat in there might help, too. As for your free day, maybe not make it a "free-for-all" day, but more like a regular day, with serving-sized treats interspersed, and make them REALLY GOOD treats - absolute favorites - not sorta junky favorites. Actually, I have a list, and I choose 2 or 3 from the list for my free day. Today I have yet to have my treats, but one will be popcorn with real butter, and another will be nachos with real sour cream and cheese and olives - as you can probably tell, I like salty and fatty. Sweet is fine, but no big deal to me. Keep working at it! You've got lots of people rooting for you (including me!) and if this is a life-long committment for you, 2 more weeks, 4 more weeks is but a drop in the bucket. a "Confidence is courage at ease" - Maher

Guest guest
>Sara, Thanks for the boost. I am NOT going to quit. My life has been so crazy lately and I know that quitting will only make me feel worse. I decided instead to go over some goals and really try to make the best of these last two weeks. It is just that right after the two weeks I am travelling over easter and was getting worried that that two week break from working out (except mega walking) will kill what results I do have or set me back from starting again. How many challenges have you done? _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
, I completed three official challenges from Jan. 2000 to October 2000. Since then, I have not entered a challenge but am still following BFL. I took a whole week off after each of my challenges and came back stronger than when I finished. I highly recommend it.
