Guest guest
I would upset too. My kids are on medicaid and I got a letter in the mail saying that they lost a cd with info like names, addresses, social security numbers of all my family members and that I should contact the credit reporting companies and put a fraud alert on my record. This really upsets me off because how in the world would they " lose " such information thats is supposed to be protected. > > I spoke w/ someone from my son's school who told me that his name " popped " up on their Medicaid Eligible List and now I'm mad. First, I never told the school he was eligible. Second, I never authorized Medicaid to release any info to the school. Has this happened to anyone else? > > What about HIPAA? Isn't this a blatant violation? And I requested a form denying them from billing Medicaid and got a copy for my records. They also state on the form that this does not " effect the services or Medicaid benefits for your child " . Yeah Right. They also state that " DCH has assured us that all private providers still be paid for services provided. " > > I've placed calls and hopefully I'll get an " answer " by Monday. But for my own sanity, will someone tell me the truth? > > Thanks, > > Lorie >
