Dear Zoe

What an inspiration to us all... I wish you all the best of everything and that your little oasis will become the bet practice exemplar to ensure so much more is done to help our special little people to achieve even more.

Bright Futures school will open in September - we just signed the lease on the premises yesterday:http://www.bridgesestateagent.co.uk/property_information.php?id=826

We have 4 teaching staff on board - our higher level TA, , is hoping to be accepted to do the RDI Consultant training in August in London (and so am I). will be living on site at the school. Dixon and I will be running a 'promoting dynamic thinking at school' training course for the staff one day a week starting Autumn term.

Our school approach will use some of the principles and practice that underpin the autism intervention 'Relationship Development Intervention' (RDI), which supports children to develop social understanding, emotional intelligence, and flexible thinking - addressing the difficulties that lie at the heart of autism.

Academic learning will be secondary to social and emotional learning, so it will most suit families already doing or about to use RDI.So far, we only have 1 pupil, Philip but I am hopeful that we will secure the other 4 pupils we need in order to break even.

Now that we've secured the lease on the premises, we are in a position to market and promote the school. I will circulate our prospectus as soon as it's ready so if anyone wants a copy please email info @ brightfuturesautism.com (no spaces).

Challenging but exciting!!Zoe
