My first few batches all produced new babies, but now, after about 3 weekly brews, there has not been a new baby. I started using green tea and black tea, but the first time I did that there was a new baby....none after. The weather is really warm here now....I'm in Tokyo and it is hotter an more humid now than when I started brewing. Any ideas as to why no baby? I threw out my mother that I have been using as I thought it might be old and am using two thin scoby's in the brew I'm making now.....will this change make a difference?
