Guest guest
Well, talk about feeling weird. We were at my family's Christmas party, the adults (my brothers & wives) know about dd's OCD but not the nieces & nephews. Dd, is almost 19, her cousins either older or a little bit younger. Her two girl cousins always look perfect, one older, one younger. Well, dd takes along a notebook to the party and is making/writing lists. Well, there were some questions from a couple of the adults as to what she is writing. She just told them she is writing lists. I am thinking, they probably really think she is weird! I guess it's her OCD thing, making lists of diff things- movie's she's seen, movie characters, etc. etc. I knew it would look strange but I wasn't about to tell her that. My family is very accepting of the OCD but I know this probably raised some eyebrows. Well, she may be diff. but she just pulled a 3.5 GPA during her first semester away from home at college while suffering a great deal of anxiety, homesickness and being diagnosed with mild ADHD. She missed the last 3 weeks of college due to all the aforementioned and is transferring to a college closer to home next semester.
