Could Kombucha trigger a bladder infection?

I came to realize that I must be fighting a bladder infection or a UTI. That

happened within about 4 days of my starting kombucha. Could all the waste being

flushed out of my system overwhelm my kidneys and trigger a bladder infection do

you think?

Ever since I gave up drinking some each day the symptoms have let up slowly.

(abdominal pain, uncomfortable urination, smelly urine, etc)

I intend to re-incorporate the ktea but a bit more slowly this time.

Any thoughts on this?

Hi Tamara,

Don't think the Kombucha could cause a bladder infection, it isn't infectious

but it can cause detox through the kidneys so cutting back on the Kombucha and

drinking a lot more water should help.

Once things calm down start more slowly with the Kombucha but keep drinking lots

of water too.

Let us know how it goes. Feel better.
