Guest guest
Hi, with OCD the SSRI type medications are usually tried first; there's not one particular med to target particular compulsions. Therapy for OCD consists of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP). (sometimes you'll read " exposure & ritual prevention " - same thing) Have you visited the OCD Foundation website yet? Excellent info there and they have it separated out as to meds/treatment for adults and for children. Of course CBT and ERP are used for all. My son began with a lot of touching type compulsions. > > Has anyone found Rx and/or therapy that helps reduce touching and > tapping compulsions? >
