Hi Everyone,

My back has been cranky this week - I don't think it is from the workouts, though, I think it is more from a lot of sitting at work and then doing some tasks around the house w/ poor form (improper bending posture - forward flexing at the waist rather than hips). I also think I messed myself up one night sleeping. Anyway, this morning I felt pretty good so I went with Keli 10 Min Solution Kickboxing workout. I haven't done this one in a really long time and I rarely did it as an entire workout. I enjoyed it - a lot of variety. First section is basic kicks and punching - a slight aerobic effect. Next section was leg exercises with light weights - kickboxing inspired exercises mixed in with traditional exercises, again, a slight aerobic effect. The arms section used a blend of traditional exercises and kickboxing exercises (doing slow controled punches with weights). I remember that this

section gave me sore arms in the past. Then it was a "bootcamp" session with a series of burpees and variations -burpee/push-up/plank/jack/up to football run, etc. This session ended with some lateral agility moves. My calf handled all of this very well - I did stretch/mobilize before during and after - and Keli also stretched out the calves before and after this session. Finally, it was abs on the floor - some planks, Pilates and traditional ab exercises.

I finished up today with Keli's foam roller workout - Flexibility for the Inflexible. I almost skipped it - but I'm glad I did it. I found some tightness in my hips and glutes which I think helped to release some of my back tightness. It felt better anyway!

So that's it for me today - I may do some stretching and/or some push-ups later - I'll see what, if anything, I have time for.

Take care!Donna
