prayers for a local ds'er please

A local Ds'er (Missy) was admitted to the hospital today.Below is

part of an email from her Dad to let me know what was going on....

This is also a sister to the gal(she had the ds too) who passed away

this last year that I knew. We are praying it is only a virus or flu,

but not sure yet.

They don't know what is wrong. They took several vials of blood to

run tests. It seems as though the regular tests are ok although the

white cells are a little high. They are running cultures for virus

and bacteria. The cultures may take a couple of days.

She awakened about 12:30am with diarrhea and vomiting and had a

problem all night. She saw the doctor about 9:30 this morning and he

sent her straight to the hospital. He said that with her surgery and

Mindy's history, he did not want to take any chances sending her home

to wait for the test results. He has her on a sodium chloride IV and

tylenol for the fever. The fever was 102.8 at 6PM. It seems to have

come down a little. They will check it again at 8PM.

I am going home in a few minutes but will be back at the hospital

early. I'll let you know in the morning how she is doing.
