Guest guest
No time to post yesterday, not much today either but wanted to post my workout from yesterday anyway. I did The FIRM Super Body Sculpt, led by Tucker. This is a cardio workout that has a little bit of light toning, using 3 lb. dumbbells for one or two intervals of 4-limbed aerobics. The rest of the 40 minutes is primarily floor and step aerobics. I have done this one a few times, always enjoying it, but haven't done it in a little over a year according to my log (if it is accurate, I've gotten less obsessive about keeping it up to date lately) so not much was familiar. I really like a lot, but I have to say she does not cue all that great in this one. Most of the time she's on but she's off enough, especially not cueing some things I would have liked, that it wasn't always as easy to follow as it should have been. The choreography is very simple, mostly athletic. It is done in combinations that are built not too quickly and not too slowly and each section has its own combination so they aren't long either. If you've done the workout a couple of times (closer together than what I have) than you'd probably know most of the combinations pretty well, even if you're choreographically-impaired, like me. However, because it was more like my first time through again, better cueing would have helped a lot. Plus, the camera angles, as I'm noticing a lot on these BSS1 workouts, are awful sometimes! They show feet when they need to be showing whole bodies, focus on the modifier only when she's cueing a power move for only the first or 2nd time or just come at the whole scene from slightly above or off to the side or whatever. Enough artistry, I want clear pictures! With all that said, even though I was lost a lot, I still got a very good workout and really enjoyed it. Today is completely insane. I've already worked a WW at Work meeting at 6:30 this morning and now I'm on the run again in and out all day until about 8:30 tonight! I pick up my rotation again tomorrow though, with FIRM Strength, another one I've enjoyed in the past but haven't done in a long time so we'll see how that goes!
