NIH under fire for grants toward creation of homoerotic website

Oy, this kind of news gives me heartburn and raises my blood pressure.I was actually on a conference call last week about an NIH-funded study studying the HPV vaccine in young MSM where they were trying to find ways to increase enrollment--since the traditional methods of flyers & advertising in the traditional gay media weren't working to reach these younger men.  When I suggested perhaps advertising on the sex sites that these men used, I got immediate pushback.   " The last thing we need is some senator from Kansas bringing up NIH funding of a gay website in Congress " was the response, and all further discussion was kiboshed.  Chilling the effect these radicals can have on taxpayer funded research.....
