Can you make kombucha with pau d'arco tea?

Has anyone tried kombucha with pau d'arco tea? Is it true that the oils in

herbal teas degrade the scoby over time? Would the anti-candida properties of

pau d'arco tea survive the culturing process of kombucha? Or is the tea itself

unaffected, and only the sugar is altered? Thanks for your help/ideas about

this, kombucha people are definitely the most fun!
