Guest guest
Has anyone tried kombucha with pau d'arco tea? Is it true that the oils in herbal teas degrade the scoby over time? Would the anti-candida properties of pau d'arco tea survive the culturing process of kombucha? Or is the tea itself unaffected, and only the sugar is altered? Thanks for your help/ideas about this, kombucha people are definitely the most fun!
Guest guest
I'd strongly recommend sticking to real tea for kombucha, and drinking the Pau d'Arco separately. The KT processing could degrade the benefits of each. Guest guest
I don't know, but I would guess that the pau d' arco would resist the kombucha bacteria.... Yet, why not try making a batch yourself and see what happens? As long as you have more scobys in a hotel, keep the pau d arco batch separate from your regular brew... > > I'd strongly recommend sticking to real tea for kombucha, and drinking the Pau > d'Arco separately.
