going to the Arnold Classics!

Here's my trainer, the one that kills me every Tuesday! I leave in

about an hour to meet her and run on the dreadmill for a bit.

Not sure.. didn't want to ask.. I wanted to meet her but mostly went to show support for Noel.  This is a really big deal to him :)On Sat, Feb 13, 2010 at 5:37 PM, Anne M. Glaser <imagesrme@...> wrote:

poor woman! i'm surprised she would choose to eat a sweet potato for her carbs.

but i suppose her training and eating are all about the business of body

building. if you can win competitions the top people can get contracts to

represent and to do ads for bodybuilding stuff. $$$

i'm sure noel would be distracted by " them " , lol!!

See and I would contemplate over training if I could get rid of mine!! Would she

be allowed to compete if they were enhanced?

Competitors usually know what weight they need to be at and inches based on

their past competitions. Its too hard on the body to live in that condition

with such low fat and dehydration all the time, so the last 6 days or so before

a major competition is usually when they crash diet.

thanks laura:) the more i get to know myself the better i feel about my inside

and outside.

since i nursed 4 children--i experienced a larger breast size and for the most

part i thought the same thing--they were in the way sometimes. i'm back to being

small again--shrinkage will be permanent since i won't be having any more little

ones!

I don't think its insulting;-) I don't do it. But most do know that its not

ideal, that why they don't maintain such a low body fat for long. And you are

right, it isn't 100% healthy. There can be hormonal imbalances, ketosis, back

and joint problems. you name it.

, Do you have one thing that you are extremely passionate about or are

better at than someone else? Some people are just really good at dedicating

themselves to weight training and body building. The success is a high, the

attention is a high. Yes, there are negative side effects, but to them its about

being good at something. We all need to feel like we are a star of some world.

Also, people who are into physique competition tend to be a certain type of

perfectionist. To them the goal is not health at all. Its almost like anorexics

who want attention because they are so unhealthy and thin. And thats me trying

to not sound insulting as a former anorexic.
