Guest guest
Hi, My aching back - the shoveling and gathering wood has been tough on it. The gathering wood, actually more so than the shoveling. Before the second round of snow I had rigged up a device where i could load wood onto a platform and drag it to the house, but now my path isn't wide enough so I had to load up a box and carry it. I think picking up the box - using my legs for power as best I could - was the final insult to my back. I am going to focus on stretching today for sure - I will probably do either CS back pain relief (one or both sessions of it) or the yoga for stress relief lower back and/or SI joint practices. I may also have to do a little shovel max at the end of the driveway to clear away a small pile from the plow. I'm just so happy that yesterday my neighbor came over with his snow blower and finished the half of the driveway I hadn't gotten to yet! DH should be home Friday - yay! I'm going to see if my neighbor who has young kids wants to come over today - I'm slowly losing my mind from 6 year old conversations! Although one nice thing is I have had some phone conversations that I have been "meaning to have" for some time - my best friend from college, etc. Nothing like being snowbound to give you some extra time for the things you mean to do but never seem to have time to do. She lives in Albany, NY and apparently they haven't had much snow this winter! Gee, I'm really sick of being snowbound. AND, the forecast is calling for "something" on Monday - so far it is just snow showers, but that is what this last round was supposed to be. It is bordering on the ridiculous right now! On a happy note, work has been closed for three days - I think that is some sort of record. In the 10 years I have been there they only closed once before for the 2003 storm. Take care everyone!Donna
