*L* so I take it you're in construction season now?Yes you could totally lay down masking tape and do these drills, no problem!  I am greedy and Studio LouLou would be more complete with an agility ladder - that's my fabricated justification for this purchase anyway!  The drills look cool and I can totally see how these would benefit a basketball or soccer player and also a dancer, actually.

Agility is an area of fitness we tend to forget about in thinking of gym classes (outside of Silver Sneakers / Silver and Fit) and workout videos.  All kidding aside, Silver Sneakers is a good class to teach from a teaching standpoint!  The seniors are pretty much all regulars to the class and it's a social event, sometimes they to go breakfast together afterward, etc.  It's more than just a workout.  I'm sure I'll be there someday!

step hurdles? plyometric boxes? What are these things and why do I need them on my wish list?

Regarding tripping... I'd be afraid of tripping on the ladder rungs let alone a hurdle!

Now here's another question I can't resist asking... can't you just put tape down on your floor and use that for speed drills that you'd do with the ladder? I know that's not the point, I'm as much of a gadget geek as anyone but I'm just curious if the ladder has some special thing about it besides the convenience, fact that you can change it around easily, etc. I get all that, I'm just wondering it it is like getting the Fanny Lifter instead of a big Rubbermaid stool and the sculpting stick instead of a broom handle and yes, you all know I do have a FL and a sculpting stick and love having them so I'm not ripping on anyone that got one of these ladders, I'm just askin' is all...

Hey Judy, how do you use a ladder for dog agility drills too?

Btw, I figured out the answer to my questions about the cones by looking at a link from the Amazon listing for the ladder.

Re: laura/judy Re: Stacey / agility ladder

Yep!  I ordered the red one :) There was a choice of 4 colors.  I saw the hurdles - not for Lou!  I'm sure I'd trip on them! I'm also afraid to jump onto plyometric boxes :(Skrrrd,
