Guest guest
Hi Donna, thanks for trying but the Achilles Tendon runs along the back of your foot/heel area. I hurt the tendon that is on the outside of my ankle, where the ankle bone is, I think it's called the Peroneal tendonitis. My Podiatrist said that I hurt my ankle where a few of the tendons come together....I'm not sure. I think I need to get an MRI. Guest guest
Hi Jen, Yea, since you have been dealing with this for so long and MRI is probably in order to see exactly what is going on!Donna From: Donna M-P <donna112520>Subject: Jen - Thread on Achilles TendonitisDate: Tuesday, June 1, 2010, 7:14 AM Hi Jen, Is this what is wrong w/ your ankle? Guest guest
Jen, You may also consider seeing an orthopedist or sports injury professional. Although podiatrists do take and see patients with ankle patients - its by far and away not their specialty. In fact in some states it will be increasingly common that they not practice on the ankle for this reason. If you need help locating a specialist let me know and I can research for you. a > > From: Donna M-P <donna112520@...> > Subject: Jen - Thread on Achilles Tendonitis > > Date: Tuesday, June 1, 2010, 7:14 AM > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > Hi Jen, >  > Is this what is wrong w/ your ankle? There is a thread about it on VF that you may find helpful. > > Here is the link: >  > http://forum. videofitness. com/showthread. php?t=149542 >  > Donna >
Guest guest
Tendinitis in general takes a long time to heal. I wish I could get PT. I've had tendinitis in my wrists and it took a long time and I don't walk on them! Guest guest
I've all ready been to the Orthopedist. He wasn't very helpful, just told me to get a shoe flare for my shoe and do PT. I got the flare, which helps some but can't do PT because my insurance doesn't pay for it.
