new here looking for advice

hi all i have sitting on my side a 6 day kombucha brew with roughly a 2mm baby

growing on top, mother sank to the bottom, and being in uk its not quite warm

enough here my son has a spare reptile heat mat he has given me would that under

cardboard be too much and kill my scobys?, my house at moment ranges between 19

and 22 centigrade, other things i have been wondering is would a polysyrene box

be warm enough with a blanket over the top or should i set up a box and light

bulb?

im limited on space due to kids that like to add extra things to brews (they

messed up a batch of kefir a while back)

allso when is the sugar content gone as i have candida?
