Donna,You hit the nail on the head!  When Noel said I would only get HALF a cup of rice I was all like, " You've GOT to be kidding?? "   I think at most restaurants you get at least 1 cup of rice if not more.  It's cheap, easy to make... so lucrative.

Sounds like you found a good plan!  I agree it is so much easier to have everything prepped and ready to go - I frequently do that so in the morning I'm not scrambling to figure out what to bring for lunch/snack at work. 

 

And, as for the treats - as long as they are the exception and not the rule, I think that is fine and a very balanced way of living.  Life would be boring w/ out the occasional wine, bagel or blueberry muffin! :)

 

Donna  (that said, i do eat a lot of carbs and do agree, it is easier to overindulge in them b/c the serving sizes are often not what you would think - who eat 2 oz of pasta? LOL!)> Yes, it's the carbs and eating at night that move up the scale, Noel is> so right on about that!these are exactly my downfall :(
